Philodendron Hederaceum - Micans

The stunning Philodendron Micans is a must have for all houseplant enthusiasts and stands out as a jewel among the Philodendron family. Its foliage is soft, shimmering, and mesmerising and hosts a constant display of iridescent leaves that range in colour from hues of deep green to bronze, deep burgundy and rusty brown, depending on the light.

Even though its leaves are small by comparison to other philodendrons, it more than makes up for this in its texture and colour. Being native to the Caribbean, the Philodendron Micans thrives in tropical climates and prefers temperatures between 18-29 degrees. 

Care tips:

• Light: Prefers bright indirect light - avoid direct sun
• Water: Allow the top 2-3cms of soil to dry out between waterings
• Humidity: Enjoys humidity to help keep foliage lush
• Soil: Thrives in a Chunky Aroid Mix
• Temperature: Best to be kept in temperatures ranging 18-28 degrees Celsius
• Support: Can trail or be trained to climb a Moss Pole for a fuller look
• Fertiliser: Include a liquid fertiliser such as GT Foliage Focus in each watering 5-7mls/litre
• Toxicity: May be toxic to pets and humans if ingested - keep out of reach.
