Shipping Policy

SHIPPING - PLANTS

All of the plants on our website have been either propagated and grown by us or sourced from reputable producers to bring grown by us and we have put a lot of energy and love into every one of them, so, we take great care and consideration when packing your plants for delivery. To ensure that plants do not get ‘stuck’ somewhere over a weekend, we only ship orders containing plants on Mondays.

We use Australia Post - Express Post and most plants arrive by Wednesday or Thursday.

Shipping times provided by Australia Post are a guideline and subject to change based on weather events, order volumes or other delivery issues and unforeseen and unavoidable events that are beyond our control. The Bee’s Knees Nursery will not be held liable for shipping or delivery delays. You will not be entitled to a refund because of a delay to shipping or delivery.

Orders containing plants that are received after 3pm Sunday will not be posted until the following Monday. Most plants are posted in their pots. There are a few exceptions which we post semi-bare root, they pack and travel much better this way, however, this will be included in the description of the plant if this is the case.  

Our shipping prices will depend on the weight of your order, however, all plants in nursery weigh less than 5kgs and are subject to the Express Post charges as indicated at the checkout when you place your order. 

Please note: If you are placing an order containing both plants and heavier items, it may work out better for the safety of your new plant/s to place two separate orders - one containing your plant purchase (Express Post) and the second containing your other purchased items (Standard Post - Parcel Post). It may also work out cheaper on postage in the long run as well but this you will need to calculate depending on what items you are purchasing. 

SHIPPING - OTHER ITEMS

Ready to ship orders like our substrates (e.g. Chunky Aroid Mix), plant nutrients (e.g. Growth Technology) and plant care and accessories will be sent within two business days. Made to order products will be sent within three business days. Any unexpected delays will be communicated to customers as soon as possible. 

If your order contains both plants and other items, please be aware that your whole order will not be shipped until the following Monday.

Free Shipping

Enjoy free shipping on orders that exceed $175 and weigh less than 20kg - excluding WA, TAS, and NT due to biosecurity restrictions.

Please note: If the weight of your order exceeds the above limit, your entire order will be calculated for freight costs.

Tracking
You will receive your Australia Post tracking number when your order is generated and this will help you trace where it is up to. It is your responsibility to track your own parcel.

We DO NOT recommend shipping live plants to an Australia Post Parcel Locker.

Parcel lockers are usually located outdoors in full sun and can be exposed to extreme heat and cold for extended periods, additionally, large parcels may not fit in a parcel locker and may be transferred to your local Post Office, please check the tracking and contact Australia Post if you have concerns. If you choose to ship your order to a Parcel Locker this is at the receivers’ risk. The Bee’s Knees Nursery will not be held liable for any plants that arrive in poor health due to being shipped to a Parcel Locker.

Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory

We post direct to all areas of QLD, NSW, SA, ACT and VIC. Please make sure your address, state, and postcode are correct when you order.

Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory

We are unable to ship directly to WA, TAS or NT due to biosecurity restrictions.

International

Sorry but we do not ship outside of Australia.

Lost or Delayed
If Australia Post says your order has been delivered and it’s not OR if it has gone missing – you need to contact Australia Post as soon as possible for them to track the whereabouts of your order. Please keep us informed if this is the case as we care about the plant too and will see if there is anything we can do to assist.
