Coco Chips (Coconut Husk Chips)

Made from Coco Coir, however, known worldwide as Coco Coir Peat, Coco Coir Pith, or Coco Coir Fibre, Coco Chips have a high capacity for liquid retention and high friability, which ensures that nutrients remain present and available to plant root systems. Additionally, the larger chip size increases aeration and drainage, and is more resistant to breakdown which promotes longevity. Coco Chips are a long-lasting substrate for excellent plant growth.

Coco Chips are a 100% renewable resource and completely sustainable for production. They have been washed and buffered to a low EC level and are perfect for hydroponic use or building living soils with the addition of organic matter.

What Are Coconut Husk Chips? When the coconut husk is not separated into coco fibre and coco peat but cut into pieces, coco chips are produced. These chips undergo a thorough wash in clean water, resulting in a material with a low EC level (salt content) that is safe for use in growing media.

Versatile Applications: Suitable as a standalone growing medium or as an additive to potting mixtures, creating the ideal physical properties for plant growth.
